We will be selling a wide variety of condiments, but especially those created by Dr. E. Lee Spence. Spence is best known for his discoveries of shipwrecks and sunken treasure, and his work has been written up in over a thousand periodicals worldwide. In 1995, Spence donated his salvage rights, as the discoverer of the Civil War submarine "H. L. Hunley," to the state of South Carolina. Spence has credits as an editor, publisher, encyclopediast, artist, cartographer, photographer and author. His hot spicy mustards, Vodka flavored hot sauces, catsups (catchups, ketchups), BBQ and cocktail sauces, are truly unique.
Made with Spence's own blends of mustard, tomato sauce, jalapeno and other peppers,as well as an unusual selection of spices, Shipwrecks Inc.'s condiments are perfect for both every day eating and special occasions. Some are flavored with honey and/or Vodka. The most popular are Honey Fire Mustard (also known as HoneyFire) which is perfect not only as a dip or spread, but for use with wings, seafood, ham and pork. Too hot, mix in generous amounts of mayonnaise. These are hot and spicy but they are not too hot to handle. They are actually more tasty than hot.
Captain Trenholm is a fictional character, loosely based on George Alfred Trenholm who was the historical basis for Rhett Butler in "Gone With The Wind."
